To Whom It May Concern:
I am a proud parent of a 5yr old child that attends Phoenix Preparatory Preschool (6-11 Extended Hour Childcare). She has been attending this facility since 2005.
My daughter previously attended another daycare and I found out that it become more of a babysitting school not a learning establishment. That prompted me to look elsewhere to find a school that stood up to my high standards. I go a recommendation from my mom’s co-worker that was taking her 2 children (ages 3 & 5) to this facility. My mom also went on to say that other co-workers were taking their children there as well.
I took a day to check out the establishment and was pleasantly surprised with how I was greeted as I opened the front door, the atmosphere of the school and classrooms, the friendly qualified staff, the play equipment, the food program, etc…
I pulled my daughter the next day from the daycare she was attending and enrolled her at Phoenix Preparatory Preschool (6-11 Extended Hour Childcare).
I will describe in detail parts of the school….staff….food….quality….
The school as a whole
The outside is a white schoolhouse (house on the prairie-style) with a white picket fence offering a welcome feel. As you enter through the front door you are greeted by the director or her assistant with a smile on their face. There is a security door that you must be buzzed through in order to reach the children. This makes me feel secure that my child is safe within the facility. You must sign in and have to see the director in order to pass through. So any Joe Schmo can’t come off the street and gain access to the children. This to me is a big PLUS. I’ve looked around and most daycares don’t have this device. You also have to show ID as you sign in (until you become familiar) to show who you are and to make sure you are authorized to pick up the child.
The inside is painted in soothing colors with vibrant colors of pictures, drawings, posters, calendars, growth charts (some of which the children have drawn and made) and others from scholastic book clubs and educational establishments.
The weekly curriculum is posted where the parents have full access to see what their child(ren) are learning to become involved with the curriculum after school hours. My daughter has since learned from attending Phoenix Preparatory Preschool (6-11 Extended Hour Childcare) to write her name (first and last) to know her birthday (month, day, year), her address, phone number, some basic Spanish, sign language (the ABC’s), counting numbers, writing capital and lower case letters correctly, educational songs, the 50 states and what comes from that state_ex. New York-Statue of Liberty, Wisconsin-Cheese. She has also learned about the planets (the names, colors, things like that). ***These are just a few of the things my daughter has learned at this school.***
There is a weekly menu posted as well showing what they are eating for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. The menu is nutritional and I’m happy with the choices.
The Teachers
In daycare there usually is a high turn over but for Phoenix Preparatory Preschool (6-11 Extended Hour Childcare) some of the teachers have been there over a year and to me that shows the teachers are dedicated to aiding in the structure of the child’s learning process. At every age level the curriculum is geared towards that age group. I am very please with the teachers at this school. She come home every day and tells me something new she has learned that day. I have unexpectedly dropped in on the school and watched from a distance how the teachers operated with parents not around, it is the same as when the parents are around. The teachers make learning fun for the kids but also they have a strict curriculum to follow to prepare the children for school years to come.
The teachers are certified in CPR and FIRST AID. This is reassuring to me that my child is being looked after in every way.
On another note regarding the teaching abilities at this school Margo Magnum has gone a step further and researched the guidelines of kindergarten to prepare the children leaving Phoenix Preparatory Preschool (6-11 Extended Hour Childcare) to enter into kindergarten with the knowledge to give them a step up advantage in succeeding.
Extra Curricular Activities
Phoenix Preparatory Preschool (6-11 Extended Hour Childcare) offers some after school activities that the children can participate in.
A few of them are: music-piano lessons, Spanish, Kung Fu.
My daughter attends Kung Fu and she just loves it. It teaches her patience, coordination, balance. All these things are positive and motivational in learning, day to day life.
In Closing
Margo Magnum owner of Phoenix Preparatory Preschool (6-11 Extended Hour Childcare) has done more in a little over a year to bring the high standards that she has brought to this school than most establishments that have been around for years that still haven’t caught up to her.
Sincerely,
M. P. - Parent

Letter of Recommendation for Phoenix Preparatory Preschool
To Whom It May Concern:
As a concerned parent, I did my fair share of “daycare shopping” before my son, was even born. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to find Phoenix Preparatory Preschool.
The quality of care provided at Phoenix Preparatory Preschool is far beyond outstanding and its staff is equally fantastic. When I drop my son off, he is completely content, as am I knowing that I’m leaving him with a reliable group that is not only looking out for his best interest, health and well-being, but also ensures that he is having fun and developing in a safe and clean environment. I’ve seen my son interact with Jessica, Tamara and Katrina on several occasions and it’s truly evident that they care deeply for him. Phoenix Preparatory Preschool has become a home away from home for my son and every time I leave him in their care, I am able to leave with a peace of mind and am confident that he is being well cared for.
I have recommended Phoenix Preparatory Preschool to many friends, colleagues and acquaintances and will continue to do so.
Thank you to the Phoenix Preparatory Preschool Staff,
N. L.
