In the one year old room at Phoenix Preparatory Preschool & Child Care, it is all about academic interactive play.  As most parents know, one year olds love to play!  So, within reach, we keep a variety of age appropriate toys that are fun as well as educational. Also, we feel books are very important to a growing mind. So, in addition to reading with the children daily, they also have access to the books in the classroom.  A large focus is placed on playing well with others by using our words and integrating sign language into everyday tasks.

At Phoenix Preparatory Preschool & Child Care , we believe routine is key to keeping the room and mood of the children, at ease. Within the daily schedule is our circle time. Typically, this slot of time is allotted for singing songs, clapping games, counting, learning colors and shapes etc.  The room is very spacious, therefore allows each child his/her own personal space.  Our ratios consist of 6 children per teacher.
