| Welcome to Phoenix Preparatory Preschool & Child Care |

Phoenix Preparatory Preschool is an academic child care and preschool, regulated by ADHS. We accept children from 4 weeks to 6 years and are open from 6:00am to 6:15pm.
The Director has a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, taught in public schools for 8 years and was nominated for Arizona teacher of the year in 1998-1999.
Our teachers are highly trained with an average of 5 years experience teaching in child care facilities.
We have high expectations of our students. Children are required to be dropped of by 8:30am, so they may participate in the morning recess. This allows the children to burn off their extra energy, so they may focus on the day’s tasks.
Children are taught English phonics, writing, mathematics concepts, science, reading readiness skills, geography, Chinese, sign language, hygiene, appropriate interpersonal interactions, appropriate classroom behavior, and a love of learning!
Chinese Language is introduced at the Two year old level and additional Mandarin classes are available.

The Center opened in January 2007 with the following goals:
- Offer a curriculum, which encourages social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth.
- Teach children to relate to others, to value friendships, and to respect all people.
- Provide a safe, comfortable environment for early learning and growth processes.
- Help each child learn to develop self-discipline, independence and to deal with his or her emotions in an appropriate manner.
- Provide a well-balanced schedule of activities.
- Provide nutritious meals that contribute to the growth and development of a happy, healthy individual.
We are a smaller Quality Child Care Center with 49 children of diverse backgrounds and cultures. The classes are separated by age; each age has a different classroom. Several of our child care classrooms have fewer students than the State ratio. For example the Infant child care capacity is 8 children with 2 qualified teachers (State ratio is 11 children to 2 teachers), the Two’s room holds 7 children (State ratio is 8 to 1 teacher), and the Three’s room capacity is 11 children (State ratio is 13 children to 1 teacher-imagine that for a second.) Teachers are State certified for childcare; all holding a valid fingerprint card, TB test, a minimum of High School graduates, with clean backgrounds that have been verified and at least 3 years experience teaching in a child care facility. We have high expectations of our teachers, and they meet the challenge well!
Our children are amazing! They excel in our traditional style environment. Negative behaviors are redirected. When issues arise parents are notified, and the teacher, administration, and parent work together to resolve the issue
