Waddlers: Our 1-Year-Old Program
Arizona considers a walking child over 12 months a toddler; we call them Waddlers. Their day is structured:
Breakfast and morning snack
Morning recess and learning time
Lunch at 11:00
One nap from about 11:30 to 2:00
Afternoon snack
Waddlers wear hard-soled shoes and drink from a straw sippy cup, since state rules don't permit bottles in this room. They eat solid meals cut to size. This is where children first learn simple expectations, including what time-out means. Full-week enrollment only.
